well, the car will eventually be blue too. (I HATE WHITE CARS) I have seen guys with white cars painting the headlights black and red and even blue (I think) on the other forum I hang out on. because of how much of a pain in the ass it is to take the headlights off of the car, i might as well go ahead and paint them and then they will be ready for when the rest of the car gets painted. I don't think it will clash because white goes with any color anyway.

did some work yesterday

Oil change, replaced the window regulator, painted the small bare metal piece on my new fender and installed the fender, also replaced the headlight and corner light.

the sun was setting by the time i finally got the work done.

got a daylight pic of the new fender:

and just fooling around

It doesn't quite meet right at the front corner. The fender and hood touch. I actually had to do some finessing to get the hood to not close down on top of the fender.

Getting there. For the fender you will need to shim it. You can get a shim kit from any auto place. Or just cut some soda cans and use them to shim the panel.

AH ok kool, thanks for the tip!! Will definitely have to do that

likely the reason why it's like that is because of the damage behind the fender after the impact so the shims is the way i will have to go.

Just got a new pic of me next to my girl today. I bought a tripod for my camera a few days ago and this was a shot I had been wanting to get for a while.

lol yea it is water drops, the camera can take it though it's waterproof. It had to rain today but I wasn't going to let that stop me. See how hazy it is behind the car and tree. By the time I got there and got all set up for the pic, the ground was nice and wet so my jeans were nice and wet for a while from sitting there haha

if you paint it now your paints are going to be so far off from each other when you do paint the rest of the car but you might now be worried about that though.

Yea, I already thought about that, I might wait till I can actually paint the car. If I do go ahead and paint the headlights I would try to make it could I could "paint match" the rest of the body so it wouldn't be that far off.

Thanks! She has been good to me so far.
