Doing Work.... UPDATE..

-The intake manifold doesn't clear the brake booster, and the flange of the intake manifold was all fucked up. heated the intake manifold with a torch to bend the flange closer to where it needs to be then with a belt sander the flange was sanded even.. welded off all the leaks the intake manifold had on the welds.
-Ordered a 90mm throttle body for the beast as well.
-Ordered a Haltech Platinum Sport 500 EMS

looking to get the car running this saturday.

Intake manifold fitment

fitting the brake booster, pushed in the firewall about 1" and moved it 1" to the side.

moved the pedal assambly to align with the booster and removed the gay aem gas pedal.

fixing the intake manifold and straighting the flange.

test fitting everything. ordered a new master cylinder.

painted the brake booster also.

looks like fun. i just hae some questions. how far is the front of the engine from the radiator? it looks like if you put some slim fans in there it would be to close to really disperse the air coming through it and being pulled through it. i'd think about remiving the bumper support bar cutting up part of the rad support and pushing the intercooler and radiator forward as many inches as you can to allow the air flow to move through the rad.

The engine sits 1/2" - 3/4" from the Radiator. The FMIC and radiator fit in perfect and the fan will go behind the radiator. Between the radiator and fmic.

This is a street car, i am not removing the front support panel for y bumper. call me a whimp but safety first.

Update from 11-06

Using quick disconnect vaccum fittings

how the intake manifold fits after routing all the hoses and installing the brake booster by-pass valve(forgot to mention we are using a 1986 e30 325e NON ABS master cylinder which has 3 inlets)

wiring is done just forgot to take a pic after it was all done.

interior shots

still need to do the brackets for the seats

radiator being used

yea i feel what you are saying. i wouldnt want to remive that either but if when you get it running you start to notice the car voerheating or running hotter than it should that is where your problem will be. i worrked at a shop where we made a custom turbo kit for a nsx and used a water to air cooler. the resevoir for the water to air cooler would only fit inder the bonnet behind the rad. once that car was built it would have the tendency to run hot as fuck. we realized it was the resovoir to close to the rad that would not let the amount of air needed to be pushed through it. scraped the custom made resvoir and replaced it with a slimmer one that was farther away from the rad and problem solved. just keep it in mind. seems like you can fabricate so worst case scenario if you need extra space you could always remove the bumper support and weld a smaller stronger piece of box tubing or tubular tubing from each corner that is slimmer and stronger so you can still have the best of both worlds. regardless i like the caar and the swap please keep us updated and try to post some vids of it running when you get it running.

keep up the good work.
