now that looks like a nice slick little setup. What brand/model inverter are you using? I'm actually gong to be purchasing one this week or next as I need to get my system portable. I have a couple sealed cell 12 batteries that I can use, I just need to figure out what inverter to get.

I've been considering:
  1. Samlex
  2. Go Power
Both of those brands seem to be rather well reviewed with a few of the reviews saying that the Samlex are sometime better than household power, lol.

I was going to use my older pure sine wave inverter but I hooked it up the other week to find that it's no longer any good. It got some moisture in it for too long in my uncles garage and the internals went to hell.

Have ever heard any humming or other sounds that might concern you coming from the unit? Also what do you think of It's output, does it allow for fast recycle times?

Also what Ah (amp hour) size batteries are you using? What kind of strobes are you attaching them to and how many pops have you been able to get with your setup?

I just ordered myself an inverter and I have a smaller hard case laying around but I'm not sure what size battery I should go with. I don't want to go too high of a battery that will cause me to have too much weight but I don't want something that's not going to last long enough either.

I've been figuring something around the 18-20 Ah rating as most of them seem to be about 10-13lbs which isn't bad and would make for a decent enough weight to hold the stand and place as well. I can always just swap out batteries as needed. I already have several 12v chargers around the house to give the batteries a nice charge and maintain them as well.
