i doubt it's going to be anytime soon that we'll be seeing wheels like that for cheap.
unless they do a hybrid setup like only the spokes are carbon or the rim itself.

Knowing how brittle graphite is, I don't understand how it'd hold up under high stresses on a track.

its really strong as for brittle ive never seen it crack from getting ran around the track .

so a graphite bat is no good for baseball? if you use it properly it would seem that it can hold up quite nicely.
